PINCKNEY RECREATION AREA
Pinckney Recreation Area provides over 11,000 acres with a wide variety of activities for the park visitor in its three major use areas: Silver Lake Day Use area, Bruin Lake Modern Campground and the Halfmoon Day Use facility. The landscape, a terminal moraine area, was formed during the last glaciation period.
Location from US 23 To Headquarters: take exit 49 (North Territorial Road) 10 miles west to Dexter-Townhall Road. From I-94/I-96 take M-52 and go east on North Territorial Road to Dexter- Townhall Road. To Bruin Lake Modern Campground: take exit 49 (North Territorial Road) 14 miles west to Hadley Road and turn right. From I-94/I-96 take M-52, go east on North Territorial Road to Hadley Road, turn left and continue to Kaiser Rd. then turn right. The campground is one mile on the right.
Directions
US 23 to exit 49 (N. Territorial Rd.) Go W. to HQ and Silver L., go 11 miles and turn right on Dexter- Townhall Rd. To Bruin L., go 14 miles and turn right on Hadley Rd., right on Kaiser.
