This was the first year that I have done this race, but now I know why my friends go back and do it every year. Great course!
I overheard that as many as 200 people have done it in the past, but there were maybe 90 this year which was fine with me. I couldn't imagine double that number all jockeying for a place on the singletrack.
There are basically two major hills. The first which is steep enough to reduce you to a power hike in some places, and the second hill around mile 7 is all runnable. Inbetween is a fun up-and-down roller coaster on the ridge which is 90% runnable.
