Third Creek Greenway (Lake Loudon to Forest Park Blvd/Sutherland)connects to the 3.0 mile Neyland Greenway at the mouth of Third Creek on the Tennessee River. Third Creek Greenway bisects Tyson Park where there are tennis courts, a large playground and picnic facilities. The greenway continues across Concord Street, skirting a beautiful wetland and continues to follow the creek to pass in back of West High School and parallels the east side of Forest Park Boulevard.
The run is 4.1 miles one-way if you do the .3 connector to Sequoyah Greenway and .1 connector to Sutherland Ave.
A .pdf map is available on the City of Knoxville, although it is outdated and the 'under constructon' areas of the greenway have been completed:

Located off of Sutherland and also off of Kingston Pike, there are several places to park and access this run. The first would be where the route goes through Tyson Park (which is off of Kinston Pike). The greenway has two more access points at Sutherland Avenue and Kingston Pike in the parking areas of the Laurel Church of Christ and continues on to the Bi-Lo parking lot on Forest Park Boulevard.

This greenway is one of my favorite places to run in this area. I highly recommend that you check it out some time. Most of it passes through a wooded area, well away from any roads. The creek and the woods create a very scenic atmosphere. There are even a couple of bamboo groves--something I was very surprised to find in Knoxville (anyone know how they got there?). Most of the trail is fairly flat, although there are a several small hills. One word of caution though: pay attention to the "slippery when wet" warning signs around the wooden bridges. They aren't kidding.
