Run goes up and down on Schultz Creek Trail. This trail winds its way through a dry creek bed (which actually has water in the spring). The run goes through a ponderosa pine forest with beautiful aspen stands mixed in. Turn-around point is the "Lincoln Logs", a gate about 3.5 miles up the trail. This is a very popular mountain bike trail so be ready for such encounters!

Drive north from Flagstaff 2 miles on US 180 to FR 420 (Schultz Pass Road) - Just past Museum of Northern Arizona. Turn east and follow FR 420 about a mile to a gate and cattle guard (just past private homes). Turn right down over the hill toward Schultz Creek and park. The trailhead is at the north end of the parking area.
