The 5K event is being held in honor of former South Burlington High School and University of Vermont men's cross country student-athlete Nick Methot. Methot died unexpectedly at the age of 21.
The 2005 event features a new half-mile kids run at 10:00am All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nick Methot Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will serve to benefit future student-athletes at South Burlington High School.
Registration forms can be obtained online at the South Burlington High School Athletic Department web site (http://sbhs.sbscholls.net/athletics). For more information please contact Mike O'Day at 802-652-7005.
The race will be held at Dorset Park.
Take Interstate 89 to Exit 14 (South Burlington Exit)
Stay right at light.
Take your First Right turn. (This will take you past Friendly's Restaurant and the University Mall.)
Follow this road straight, through at least 4 Traffic lights. The Park will be on your left after you go under the interstate.
