2009 Little Rock Marathon Training Program is for individuals interested in preparing for the one of the race events on March 15, 2009.
You can train to run the race next March. You can train to walk the race next March. Or, you can train to run and walk next March. It is up to you!
The official training begins in late September, but the group trains together every weekend prior to the beginning of official training.
The Little Rock Marathon training program is for athletes at every level. Hundreds of individuals (many first timers) take part in the program - so there is always someone to go down the road with. You can train with a group (if available in your city) or you can train virtually.
Schedules also available for half marathon, relay marathon (about a 10K or 6.1 miles), 5k and Classic Rockers 55+ Marathon.
The training program is for anyone wanting to: •Start a fitness program by running or walking •Improve your health •Reduce stress •Complete your first marathon, half marathon, 10K •Learn more about training safely and avoiding common running/walking injuries •Qualify for the Boston Marathon •Have fun and meet new people
