The River Run is designed to appeal to competitive runners & walkers and school athletic teams as well families looking for fun on the riverfront. The event includes a competitive 5.0-mile run/walk, a popular 2.0-mile family run/walk, a touching Special K for children with physical and/or mental disabilities and an exciting Children?s Fun Run. The River Run also has great food, fun music, and an awards ceremony & prize drawing that take place after the races. Participants will enjoy a Kid?s Zone, plenty of free food and drinks (including J.T.M, Chick-fil-A, Alpine Valley Water and pizza) and the chance to win a $500 Meijer shopping spree!
The River Run benefits Kicks For Kids and other local organizations that assist children at risk, including UCP?s Perlman Center at Cincinnati Children?s Hospital and Medical Center.
The Kicks For Kids River Run takes place in Sawyer Point, which is in downtown Cincinnati along the Ohio River. From North or South, take I-75 to the 2nd Street Exit. Go East, take the Mehring Way exit, just past Great American Ballpark. At the light turn left, Sawyer point is 1/4 mile on the right.
