The Ithaca (NY) Triathlon Club is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advance of the sport of triathlon. The club is open to all level of triathletes- from complete beginners to the sport to those more experienced. This web site is intended for the use by club members and anyone interested in our training, racing, educational and social events.
Sunday Morning Run
The Ithaca Triathlon Club meets every Sunday for a group run:
Time: Meet at 8:45am, run starts at 9am
Place: Cornell Plantations Wildflower Garden parking lot
Pace: Run is for all levels (people break off into groups by pace and/or distance)
Wednesday Night Run/Bike/Run
Thanks to the Ellis Hollow Community Church, which has given us permission to use their parking lot on Wednesday evenings for Run-Bike-Run workouts.
Time: Meet at 5:45 pm, workout starts at 6 pm
Place: The church is located on Ellis Hollow Rd. near the intersection of Ellis Hollow Creek Rd.
Results: On-line
The first run consists of 1.5 loops (or 1 loop for the short option) of the challenging \"highlands\" course up Eagleshead Rd.
The bike route will consist of one or two 4.6 mile loops from the Community Church, up Ellis Hollow to Genung, down Genung to Ellis Hollow Creek, and back around to the church.
The 2nd run will be one loop (or 1/2 loop) of the same course as the 1st run, but in the opposite direction.
There will also be a run-bike option consisting of a longer bike (14.3 mi, including Ringwood), plus the 2nd run course.
2-3 volunteers are needed each week for timing and safety. Signup sheets will be available at the every workout. Since the parking lot is fairly small, those who can are asked to park elsewhere (such as East Hill Plaza) and warm-up by biking to the church.
