The zero mile marker for the Highline Canal begins at the Goodson Rec Center. The Highline Canal is a dirt trail with beautiful mountain vistas, gorgeous homes, the canal with water in it some times of the year. This is my very favorite place to run in the city, you feel you are in the country.

Run 10 miles out and back for a total 20 mile run. The 10 mile marker is just past Colorado Blvd (west) and south of Hampden Ave and also just west of three Ponds Park which is another spot along the Canal.Only 2 semi-major streets to cross, a port-a-potty at about mile 4.5, miles are marked in .5 increments. Very gently rolling terrain.

In Littleton, CO. University Boulevard between Arapahoe Road and Orchard Road, on the west side of University. Park in Goodson Center Parking Lot.

I love this run if you are increasing your mileage or trying to up your endurance. This is a very flat run and almost all gravel trail. The trail itself is pretty wide so its great for group runs and there are no problems with bikers sharing the path. Also the trails are marked for mileage at every road break so you can break it up for short runs too. To top if off, the scenery is beautiful with lots of trees and beautiful homes.
