International half marathon crossing US and Canadian borders twice. Once via the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor and once via the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel from Windsor to Detroit. The tunnel offers the ONLY underwater international mile in the world. This event is held in conjunction with the 27th annual Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Bank Marathon. It starts with the marathon and follows the marathon route through Corktown (an old Irish/Scottish settlement), Mexicantown, the Windsor Riverfront, Belle Isle (an island within the City of Detroit), and a 50-yard line Ford Field Finish (home of the Detroit Lions).
A finsih line party with entertainment will be sponsored by Michelob Ultra.
This event is limited to 6,000 participants.
Please see Comerica Park or Ford Field for directions. Both stadiums are within blocks from each other and the start and finish and use the same parking lots.
