Beautiful open park on mesa top in Flagstaff, Arizona at 7100 ft! The two-mile loop has 360 degree panorama of Flagstaff and surrounding forest. The San Francisco Peaks are the back drop. One steep hill at the end of the loop to really make you suck oxygen!

Travel north under railroad tracks on Milton Road (main drag from 1-17). At the second stop light turn north on San Francisco St. Follow this north to Forest Avenue ? just past the hospital (about 1 mile). Then turn right and head east to the top of the hill in the distance. The Buffalo Park turn off is to your left by the USGS Buildings.

I really enjoyed this run! The review is very accurate and the run is great!

Please note, however, that you should follow San Francisco Street north to Forest Avenue, not Cedar, for the right turn. It later turns into Cedar as you go east.

There is also an exercise course along the trail, with stations to perform chin-ups, dips, push-ups, etc. along the way. I was breathing heavy without those, but I'll try them next time!
