The Raritan Valley Road Runners is New Jersey's best running club! Though we are involved in many races and events, we are not only a group of racers. We strive to promote the sport of running and its healthy lifestyle. We also have fun at parties and other social events!
Our "Wednesday Night Run" is one of the nation's longest running regularly scheduled group runs. We have not missed a Wednesday Night Run since 1983! In June 2003 we celebrated a 20 year "streak" of organized club runs!
We have active and competitive open, women's, and masters teams. Our members average over 250,000 miles a year collectively!
Saturday Towpath Runs
Every Saturday morning, we meet in Johnson Park in Piscataway for a group run. During Daylight Savings Time, these runs will be starting at 8 a.m. from Grove 5, just south of Landing Lane. Runners should arrive by 7:50 a.m. for the 8 a.m. start. During Standard Time, these runs start at 9 a.m. from the Zoo parking lot, north of Landing Lane and the Route 18 bridge.
Wednesday Night Runs
The Raritan Valley Road Runners have met weekly since 1983 for consecutive Wednesday night runs! Come join us at 6:30 p.m. During the school year, September - June, we meet at Highland Park High School, 102 North 5th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ! Drive into the driveway on North 5th Avenue and park in the lot near the track. Enter through the door under the overhang in the wing on your right. You can run our summer or winter course, or you can choose to run on the track. New to running?-try walk/running on the Highland Park track! The summer distances are from 1 to 8 miles. The distances of the winter run courses are 4.5 and 7 miles.
