I started running 5ks and competeting in oreinteering meets in 1999, but never thought of myself as a runner since I didn't train and wasn't fast or even in shape at all. Over the last 6 months or so I've started training and trying to improve my running. I've completed an adventure race which was a great experience that I hope to repeat. I've completed numerous races of different lengths (from 5ks to 1/2 marathons) and hope to continue this as well. I'm currently in training to get my 5k times under 30 min, hopefully under 25. Then I'll be doing another adventure race in October. Who knows after that... :) I'm also very proud to call my self a nogoodnik hasher. I hash with the Austin Hash House Harriers and what a great bunch of nutters they are!!
