Was recipient of "Coaches Award" for Cross Country in 1989, and "Most Improved" for Boy Track in 1990.

Continued running since high school graduation, participated in road races (5k's, 8k's, 10k's)

Turned to longer distance running, ran first half-marathon in Nashville, 1994.

Accomplished running first marathon in Huntsville, Alabama in 1995.

Ran Chicago Marathon in 1996.

Has had a strong desire to qualify for Boston Marathon.

Was forced to discontinue marathon training in 1999; due to a sciatic nerve problem.

Capable of still running half-marathons, 10k's, 8k's, 5k's, etc.
