I was a serious runner in high school and college but lost interest in the sport in my twenties. I pretty much stopped running for ten years. When I turned 40, I got out on the track and ran one mile all-out in nine minutes. I was totally exhausted! I now train 30 to 70 miles a week and I am very focused on having successful races. I live at 7,600 ft altitude and do most of my interval training on hills.
