From the trailhead run east on the Fowler Trail for .2 miles. The Rattlesnake Gulch turns off here with a sharp right turn onto a much rockier trail. Follow this trail for another 1.1 miles up several switchbacks until you get to the remains of the Luxurious Crags Hotel.

From here you can do the .8 mile loop clockwise or counter-clockwise. I recommend going counter-clockwise as it is a little more gradual thus more runnable.

After you finish the loop and come back to the hotel ruins, take the main trail back down the hill reversing your route back to the trailhead.

Note- this is a multi-use trail and you might see mountain bikers on the loop as well.

This run is located in the Eldorado Canyon State Park which is located at the end of Eldorado Springs Drive (Hwy. 170) in the town of Eldorado Springs.

There is a $6 fee to enter the park unless you have a Colorado State Parks Pass. However, if you don't have a pass, the fee is worth every penny as there are other great runs here as well as some world class climbing and kayaking.
