While normally easily bypassed as the small peak just west of Rollins Pass, Mount Epworth makes a great ski destination in the middle of the summer (even in mid August in some years) for those people just hankering to get into some snow. The hike is a relatively short jaunt above Deadman Lake and just off Corona Pass Road just 1/4 mile west of Rollins Pass.
Directions
To get to Rollins Pass, you first have to head toward Winter Park and the Frazier Valley. If you are coming from I-70, look to the right for a dirt road with a sign for Rollins Pass. I believe it is CR149. Then drive the dirt road (old railroad bed) all the way up to Rollins Pass. When you get to Rollins Pass turn around and look west. Bam, there it is.
