Lake Barkley lies among the rolling hills of southwest Kentucky and north central Tennessee bordering the Land Between the Lakes recreation area. Lake Barkleys 58,000 acres of water serve as a playground for millions of outdoor enthusiasts each year. The areas temperate climate and natural conditions provides ample opportunity for visitors to enjoy activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, picnicking, boating, and sightseeing. Visitors are likely to see many species of wildlife including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, bald eagles, and the occasional pelican. In addition, Lake Barkley features six commercial marinas, two state parks, and a Civil War Monument at historic Fort Donelson National Battlefield.

From Louisville, S on I-65 to Western Kentucky Parkway. Go west on Parkway to exit 4, 13 mi W on US 62. From Nashville, W on I-24 to exit 40, 8 mi W on US 62.
