Come visit our magical mountain getaway situated on 100 acres under the brow of the Continental Divide high in the Colorado Rockies. Gold Lake is distinguished by historic charm, a 35 acre lake, scenic wetlands and plentiful wildlife (commonly seen favorites are herons, hawks, marmots, deer and foxes; occasionally seen are eagles, owls, black bears, cougars, bob cats, elk, and our personal favorites, a pair of river otters.)

Great hiking and snowshoeing abound throughout the peaceful surrounding Roosevelt National Forest, and on the breathtaking high alpine trails of the neighboring Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. Try a mellow stroll around the lake, or let us pack you a picnic to take up into the Indian Peaks for a visit to a glacial lake with waterfalls and endless wildflowers.

Fishing

There are huge trout in this 35 acre lake.
