Begin at the Sandy Canyon Trailhead off Lake Mary Road. Descend into Sandy Canyon and run the canyon bottom to Fisher Point. Follow trail to left and head into a side canyon which you will make a steep 1.1 mile ascent to the top of Fisher Point. Spectacular views of the San Francicso Peaks and Walnut Canyon can be seen from here. Return the same way.
Drive southeast out of Flagstaff 6 miles on Lake Mary Road (Forest Highway 3). Just past the second cattle guard turn north (left) to the trailhead. For more details, visit http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/recreation/mormon_lake/sandys-canyon-tr.shtml
