Run follows trails along Oak Creek (Buddha Beach) and then climbs the spectacular sandstone single track of Cathedral Rock. You can run all the way to Highway 179 and turn around.
Take Highway 179 (Sedona exit of I-17). Follow to the Verde Valley School Road in the Village of Oak Creek (intersection is stop light by Outlet Stores. Make a left and drive past all the private homes. The Turkey Trailhead is the first dirt road to your left after all the private homes. Pick up the Baldwin Trail on the opposite side of the road and follow gentle downhill to Oak Creek. Head upstream to the switchbacks of the Templeton Trail. Follow this to Highway 89 and turn around.
