This is run alongside one of the few running streams in Northern Arizona. The run ends at a series of Sandstone water-carved pools (aka Bell Crossing). There are several trail junctions along the way, however, just bear to the stream side of the trail. The trail is a gradual climb on a closed road which eventually turns into a single track. Near the last mile the single track makes a steep pitch and climbs onto sandstone ledge and there are spectacular views of Beaver Creek. The turn-around point is a must see!!!!
Take Highway 17 to Sedona exit (HWY 179). Turn east (away from Sedona). Drive about 1.5 miles east to the old (now closed) Beaver Creek Ranger Station turnoff. Turn north about a quarter mile to the parking lot and trailhead.
