You'll love this beautiful, fast and mostly flat 10K-plus course on forested trails.

Head east on Keystone Road and hop on Granny's Trail to your left. Stick with it through the gulch, the campsites and across the bridge. A sharp climb and right turn puts you on the Aquaduct Trail. Climb the contours of the mountain's slopes on the Aquaduct to the top of Keystone Ranch Road. Wind around and up until you reach the mountain road gate. Hang a right and begin the backtrack home.

About a mile ahead are some fun switchback trails leading to the valley floor. This section is full of twists and turns, so pay close attention to the trail markers. The next trail you hit is on Appaloosa Court. Stay sharp, there's a steep drop-off before the bridge to the Nature Path.

Follow the path along the river to a steep drop at the river's edge. Now blast through the river crossing with a big smile on your face. The crossing is a popular photo op stop for sports photographers. It's also the final leg of the run. Turn right on the bike path and into the finish! Time to drink up, chow down and chill out!

Take CO 9 North and exit 205 Silverthorne US6E / Dillon.
Keep left at a fork in the ramp.
Turn left on Blue River Parkway.
Stay right on US6 and follow signs to Keystone Resort.
Go right on Decauter Road, then left at the fork.
The race site is to the left.
