On this loop you will experience gorgeous summer wildflowers, fantastic singletrack, solid climbs and fun descent, and excellent views of Mount Crested Butte.
From the trailhead, you will need to run on Cement Creek Road for a little over a mile to turn left onto Walrod Gulch Road Trail 412. Follow Trail 412, ascend, do not take forks in road or trails 409 and 418.
Continue heading up, and about 3 total miles into the run you'll turn left at the trail marker to go up a steep hill that is followed by a level area where you'll take singletrack into the woods.
At the trail junction with trail 410, take trail 410, continuing to ascend on singletrack. At just over 6 miles into the run, you'll come to a trail junction with Trail 405. Take trail 405 and begin to descend.
At Farris Creek Trail 409, go left onto that trail, descendingfor the next two miles back to the trailhead where you parked.
From Crested Butte, take Colorado Hwy. 135 south for about 6.9 or 7 miles to Cement Creek Road (County Road 740). Turn northeast (left) onto Cement creek road, go for about 1.8 miles until you reach the Farris Creek trailhead. Park there, run starts out of trailhead.
