The Sugarloaf 5k is a standard 5k Road Race (approximately 3.1 miles) sponsored by Sugarloaf Community Church in Suwanee Georgia. The race is an opportunity for us to provide a fun and challenging event for the local community. This is the fourth year for the race, and we can?t wait for race-day to arrive. Every year, we make some great new friends, and we expect to meet more this year!
The volunteers and race committee put an enormous amount of effort and preparation into the Sugarloaf 5k. The race committee is comprised of avid runners as well as other members with a real heart for service. We begin planning months in advance to help ensure that your race will be well organized and fun. The volunteers are a joy to work with and are sure to cheer you on to do your best on race day. Runners and walkers are both welcome. If you have any other unusual circumstances, please contact us as we will try to accommodate your specific needs.
To the best of our abilities, our race volunteers follow the apostle Paul?s admonition:
?Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.? - Colossians 3:23-24
