Race for the Stars is a family friendly 5k/10k event to benefit the St. Louis Science Center. The 5k and 10k races begin simultaneously at 7:30am and split after 2 miles. The course is a USTAF certified course and winds through Forest Park. The first half of the 10k course (first 2 miles of the 5k course) has some rolling hills, but the majority of the course is flat. This is not an extremely competitive event on the front end, but it was extremely well organized.
The race starts in front of the Planetarium. The Science Center is located on the south side of Interstate 64/Highway 40, but the Planetarium is located on the north side of the highway in Forest Park.
