The Runtex 30K (18.6 miles) is race #6 in the Freescale Austin Distance Challenge. The Freescale Distance Challenge is a series of 8 races leading up to and including the Freescale Austin Marathon on February 13, 2005. The 30K will be run in Northern Hays County, starting and finishing at Hays High School in Buda, Texas. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Hays High School class of 2005 "Project Graduation", a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The course will be run on Hays County roads starting at Bob Shelton Stadium on the Hays High School campus. This Course is certified. USA Track & Field Course Certification number: TX02028JF

Hays High School is located approx. 10 miles south of Austin on Jack C. Hays Trail (FM 2770), between Buda and Kyle. Off of IH-35 take the Buda exit #221. Drive west on Loop 4 for approximately 2 miles to Buda. Take a right on FM 2770 for approximately 3 miles to Hays High School.
