Both races start and finish in Golden Gate Park by the site of the California Academy of Sciences future new home. The 5K includes a Wild! costume contest with prizes. This traditional Thanksgiving weekend Sunday race benefits the Academy and all registered runners receive a long sleeve t-shirt with this year's logo, goodie bag, and course support.Lincoln Way to 9th Avenue entrance to the park. Park on streets or in some garages in the area. There is also a new garage under the de Young Museum which is accessible at 10th Avenue and Fulton Streets.
