Roadkill Trail Half Marathon & 10k
Part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series
This trail half marathon will take you through some of Kremmling?s best terrain. The race starts in the Town Square and immediately begins the climb up the landmark ?Kremmling Cliffs?. This section of the course is on private property, and racers will enjoy a rare opportunity to take the back way up the Cliffs. At the top racers will see spectacular views of Gore Canyon and Eaglesnest Wilderness Area in the distance. The course then levels out for about 3 miles and continues down to cross Muddy Creek. Racers will follow a single ?cow track? for about 1.5 miles and will then join up with a dirt county road that inclines slightly downhill. The remainder of the course will be on the Red Mountain public lands and consists of rolling single and double track terrain, with one major hill climb.
Races begin at 9:30 s.m. in the town square. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.
