This out-and-back paved trail is a good place for your long run. It starts in east Arvada near the first recorded gold strike in Colorado which was made in 1850 by a group of prospectors on their way to California. It runs slightly downhill from Clear Creek near Sheridan Blvd and I-76 and follows a paved path northwest through Arvada to the Hwy 93 junction.
For a shorter run you can either drop a car at one end and just run point-to-point (preferably east to west) or you can park near the Arvada City Hall and do an out-and-back in either direction.
Near the junction of Hwy. 93 you can also run the Arvada Reservoir Loop.
You can pick up this trail from many points along the way as it travels mainly through urban areas. However, one of the most popular access points is at the city park behind the Arvada City Hall off Ralston about 1 mile west of the Ralston Rd. and Wadsworth Blvd. intersection.

This is not the greatest running path in the world ... not even in the area.
The best sections are around the City Hall in Arvada and the far west section closer to the mountains. Many other areas just run through neighborhood streets, and they stick up a sign and call it a trail.
However if you are looking for a place to run, this is good as any other place in Arvada because they don't seem to be big fans of large parks and open space with trails.
