Don't be fooled by the title of this race, it is a tough one! It starts at 10,000 ft. elevation and drops over 2000 ft. but remember, running downhill fast at 10,000 ft elevation is still running fast at 10,000 ft. elevation. The scenery is, of course, spectacular. There is a really gnarly downhill drop from mile ten to twelve, and that makes you totlally wasted on the last mile which has gently rolling hills. I have never been so exhausted during the last mile of a race as this. It feels like the way you felt during the last mile of those races you ran your freshman year in high school. Don't say I didn't warn you!
