For a shorter alternative to the 11.2 mile loop, try this 5.8 mile loop. This is also hilly and a great workout.
Go to this website for a trail map of the park. http://nashville.gov/parks/warner.htm#From Downtown Nashville, drive south on West End Avenue for about 6-7 miles. About 1/2 mile after crossing White Bridge/Woodmont rd., the Belle Meade Police station and a big white church will be on your left. Right after the church, you will make a left turn onto Belle Meade Boulevard (look for the horse statues). This is one end of the Boulvard. Drive 2.5 miles down the Boulevard and you will see "The Gates". Park here and start your run.
Go through the gates, and begin the run on the road up to the right.
