This description is for the ascent only. I have included the ascent only here because many people use this hillclimb as a testpiece of climbing strength. So times listed are for the ascent only - for the entire loop or other options look here.
This run starts at the footbridge just north of the parking area on the Mount Sanitas Trail. Take this very steep and rocky trail 1.4 miles (1,310 ft gain) to the summit of Sanitas. Anything under 20 minutes to the summit is smokin'!
From the top take any way back down you want. the grunt is over.
From Broadway (Hwy. 93) turn west towards the mountains on Mapleton Ave. Take this approximately 2 miles until you pass Boulder Center for Sports Medicine (on your right). Parking for the Mount Sanitas Trailhead can be found .1 and .25 miles further on your right and additional parking a bit further on the left hand side of the road. Just look for all the parked cars. This is a popular area and should be easy to find.
