THIS IS NOT A CLOSED COURSE.
The course has signage and arrows painted on the pavementtt to guide you to the finish. There are (3) water stops on the 15K course, and (7) water stops on 30K course. Gatorade and Hammer Gel will be at about mile 4.8 where two races split. Hammer Gel also a mile 10 & 15.
THIS COURSE CLOSES AT NOON.
A pace of 13 min. per mile or less will ensure a finish prior to course close.

Early entrants are guaranteed a shirt by Aug. 30th. Late/Day of race entries will receive a shirt as available. Shirts will be reordered and runners may pick up at local running stores or if out of town, shirts will be mailed.


AWARDS - There is NO FORMAL AWARDS CEREMONY. Winners are posted after each race and trophies may be picked up as soon as results are verified for accuracy. TROPHIES WILL NOT BE MAILED.

Finishers will receive a COMMEMORATIVE 25TH ANNIVERSARY MEDALLION. Results may be accessed within 48 hours at www.active.cooom and www.cherokeeroadrunners.org.

FROM I-65
Take I-65 to I-265 East (Gene Snyder Freeway). Take I-265 to Preston Highway, exit South on Preston to Cooper Chapel Road. Turn left on Cooper Chapel and right on Price Lane to entrance of school which is on your right.

FROM LEXINGTON
Take I-64 West to I-265. Exit south on Smyrna Road to intersection of Cooper Chapel Road. Continue straight across intersection to stop sign at Price Lane. Turn left on Price Lane to entrance of school on your right.

ALLOW TIME FOR YOUR ARRIVAL AS THE RACE LOCATION CAN BE DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THE DARK.
