This is not the greatest running path in the world ... not even in the area.
The best sections are around the City Hall in Arvada and the far west section closer to the mountains. Many other areas just run through neighborhood streets, and they stick up a sign and call it a trail.
However if you are looking for a place to run, this is good as any other place in Arvada because they don't seem to be big fans of large parks and open space with trails.

I love Ralston Creek Trail because I feel safe. I walk with my daughter in the evening and early morning, while it's still dark, and it's well lit. The trail's not at all over populated but I always pass other people which puts me at ease.
