The Lung Walk befits the Second Wind Assistance Fund which is a charitable
provider of limited financial assistance to lung transplant patients of St. Louis area providers. The fund is designed to help pay for medical and other related expenses that are of an emergency or non-insured nature.
The LUNG WALK provides an opportunity to unite our community while raising funds to help improve the lives of some of the nearly 4,000 children and adults in need of a lung transplant.
Help us make lives better for those waiting for a lung transplant.
The 2005 5K race and walk and one mile walk is scheduled for October 21, 2006 in Historic Forest Park.
Directions to Forest Park Visitor Center:
From Skinker, go EAST on LINDELL; turn RIGHT into the Park at DeBaliviere at the HISTORY MUSEUM (AKA JEFFERSON MEMORIAL). After passing around the HISTORY MUSEUM to the back of the building, make a RIGHT at the first road (marked only by a green sign with white lettering that reads ?Additional parking for museum visitors?. At the intersection, make a LEFT onto Grand Drive. The VISITOR AND EDUCATION CENTER will be on your LEFT; parking may be found along either side of Grand Drive, or parking lots may be found on your RIGHT.
