This is a flat 8 mile out-and-back around Miramar Lake on raods with some bike path. The dam section is closed, so retrace your steps at the end of the road.
From I-15 (do not take the express lanes) exit at Mira Mesa Blvd. and go east. Turn right when the road ends at Scripps Ranch Blvd. Turn left at the second light onto Scripps Lake Dr. The park entrance is ahead on the left up the hill past the library. The main parking area (with restrooms) is on the south side of the lake.
