This is an out and back trail run climbing 2,000 ft in elevation in 5.5 miles with the turn around point the top of Jelm Mountain at 9,600 ft. The views are spectacular. The race is small and fun.
The race starts at the base of Jelm Mountain. From Laramie, WY go west on highway 230 to Woods Landing (approximately 25 miles). At Woods Landing turn south on State Highway 10 (cross the Laramie River). Drive 3 miles on Hwy 10. At the base of the mountain and race start there is a sign for the Jelm Mountain Infrared Observatory and a Machine Shed. Registartion is available on line at active.com, by mail, or on race day starting at 8 am.
