This loop is a popular local place to run and walk. Although it is just short of a mile, this would be a great place for mile repeats. The course is almost completely flat, and you can enjoy nice views of the Snowy Indian Peaks in the distance as well as the Flatirons above Boulder.

No dogs allowed.
There is a port-a-john at the trailhead.
Bring your own water.

From Boulder:

Take South Boulder Road East. At McCaslin/South Boulder Road intersection, turn right (South) onto McCaslin. Take left onto Washington Street, then another immediate left into parking lot for trailhead.

From Denver:

Take I-36 west to the Superior-Louisville exit. Drive north on McCaslin Boulevard for 1.5 miles to Washington Street.

This is a great little loop and right next to many other running options. I think it is ideal for 1km intervals. You run counterclockwise, starting from the parking lot entrance until you reach the turn that starts taking you back in the southwest direction. There's your 1k. Then you jog the 0.28 miles to the entrance again for recovery.

No dogs, but sometimes there are bugs and goose crap.
