Start is at the Punxsutawney Community Center. Course is up and down hills,
along country roads, on trails, logging roads, pipeline rightaways, and across streams. The finish is downtown at the Punxsutawney Community Center. The course will be marked with white paint on rocks, the ground, or grass, with major changes of direction marked with fluorescent orange paint. Alcoholic beverages will no longer be served at the top of Two Beers Hill at Mile Marker 29 to cut back on the number of runners losing their way to the finish line. Race participants usually face a mild warm up in temperatures before finishing and may expect variable humidity running in the woods. Conditions are unpredictable and pre-race precipitation varies from year to year, so be prepared. Support personnel will sweep the course following the race to pick up trash (please be kind)
Support stations every three to four miles enable entrants to
participate without the need to carry additional fluids and gels.
Support stations provided with Hammer Gel pouches, sport replacement drink, Water, Pepsi, Fruit, & Snacks. Handler Crews have access to all stations.
A post-race Chicken Barbecue will be held after the race from
12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.. Chicken BBQ is free for all race entrants.

ULTRA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
to determine the BEST ULTRA RUNNING COMMUNITY 5 Runners from the same community (living within a 40-mile radius of each other) will be scored in competition with other 5-member Community Teams by traditional Cross Country Standards NO RELAY TEAMS - ALL 5 MEMBERS OF SAME TEAM MUST RUN 50K More than 5 Runners may be on the same team - only the first 5 finishers count toward championship awards. The first 5 finishers of the winning community team will each receive a certificate redeemable for one free pair of Montrail shoes.

From Interstate 80, exit at Brookville, go South for about 20 miles on Route 36 to Punxsutawney. The start is at the Community Center at the second traffic light in town on the left. For Packet Pickup and the Pre-Race Dinner go to the third light and turn left to find the Community Center, one half block on the right at 220 North Jefferson Street.
From Indiana, PA, travel north for 26 miles on Route 119. Turn right at the first traffic light in town, go two blocks and turn left on North Jefferson Street to the start at the Community Center.
