When I ran at the DePauw Nature Park, I didn't get the chance to try out all of the trails, but I loved the trails I did try! The trails are light gravel and can be very flat or very hilly depending on which route you take. The Nature Park was developed on the grounds of an old quarry, and that is the topographic highlight of the park. There are trails that run around the rim of the quarry, one that runs through the middle of the quarry, and some that explore the surrounding forest.

The DePauw Nature Park is adjacent to the DePauw University campus. You can enter the park from the outdoor track facility by walking between the outdoor tennis courts and the indoor track/tennis facility. You will cross a paved road and a set of railroad tracks. The gravel path starts immediately past the railroad tracks.
