I have only run here once or twice, but have biked the mail loop around Creve Coeur Lake many times. The trail around the lake is very flat, but there is little shade so it can be pretty miserable with the heat and humidity in St. Louis during the summer months. This .pdf provides some information and a trail map for the park: http://www.modot.state.mo.us/local/d6/images/Pagetrailbrochure_504.pdf.

From the north or east (from I-55 south or I-70 west, take I-70 west to I-270 until it again connects with I-70 west)

Exit I-70 at Earth City Expressway, south (Exit 231, first exit after crossing the Missouri River at St. Charles. Follow Earth City Expressway south to its end, turn right at Maryland Heights Expressway Road, go about 1 mile, turn left onto Marine Drive (there is a left hand turn lane, near a white clapboard house, also on the left). Proceed on Marine Drive about 1/4 mile to the Sailboat Cove entry to Creve Coeur Park. Our boathouse is to the right of the parking lot about 150 yards across a field. There's an access road leading from the Sailboat Cove parking area to the boathouse.

If you miss the Earth City Exit, continue east to I-270 south, exit I-270 on Dorsett Road, turn right (west) and follow directions for I-270, below.

From the Southeast (I-64):

Follow I-64/highway 40 west through downtown St. Louis to I-270. Go north on I-270, then see below.

From the South (I-55),

Go north on I-270, then see below.

From the Southwest (I-44)

Take I-270 north, exit on Dorsett Road (Exit 17) and turn left (west). Go west on Dorsett approximately 2 miles until the road terminates. Turn right on Marine Drive. Go down the hill into the park (If you are towing, be careful, this is a twisting narrow road with steep gullies on both sides and no shoulders. The road can be slick from dew and falling leaves from overhanging trees. The speed limit is generous at 30 MPH. Once at the lake, continue on Marine Drive to Sailboat Cove (on the left), about 0.7 miles from the bottom of the hill. As you enter the Sailboat Cove parking area you will see the boathouse about 150 yards off to your right across a field. There's an access road leading from the Sailboat Cove parking area to the boathouse.

Alternative: Continue north on I-270 to I-70 west, then follow directions from Earth City expressway, above.
