As it's name implies this is a hill, a very big, steep hill. There are numerous trails throughout, about 10 miles of which are part of the Finger Lakes Trail system. Because this area is a wildlife management area set aside for public hunting and fishing, other recreationists are asked not to use the area during the big game hunting season (Oct - Dec.) But the rest of the year it is fine. The roads are unplowed in the winter so if you wish to use this area during the snowy season x-c skis and/or snow shoes are your best bet.
Take Rt. 13 South toward Newfield. Turn right onto Millard Hill Rd., and follow through an intersection to a left at the Y onto Connecticut Hill Rd. There are various points of access. The best bet is to buy a trail map book of the Finger Lakes Trail system for this area. This wildlife management area provides over 20 miles of roads and trails.
