Start your Labor Day weekend with a cross country 5k run or walk that combines the quiet of forest trails with a cross country run.Located at the Dale Fountain Cross Country course at Banat, MI, the course will take you through quiet evergreen stands and hardwood forest, over hills and valleys. The course is of mowed grass and the course is designed strictly for running. Walkers can also enjoy the peaceful beauty of the 5k course and recieve a T-shirt for the non-competetive walk.
Take highway US 41 8 miles north of Stephenson to Chalk Hills Road (also labled number 29 road). Coming from the north take US highway 41, 12 miles south of the village of Powers to the Chalk Hills Road. Take Chalk Hills Road west 7.3 miles to Koller Lane. Take Koller Lane south to the Dale Fountain Cross Country course. Road signs will also point the way.
