The "Burning Sunshine" trail is a really fun trail to practice those hills! It basically goes up and down the side of gulleys and has some nice touches such as wooden bridges.
There are several loops with little colored arrows that allow you to go distances of up to nine miles.
The trail is also used by mountain bikers so be careful, but otherwise, this is a nice trail to practice your trail running or cross-country.
It is at the Elvis Presley Lake and Campground in East Tupelo. Take Veterans Blvd or Hwy 78 to East Tupelo and take a right on Elvis Presley Lake road - in between the two convenience stores (follow the big wooden sign). You will take a left off of this road to get to the park so watch for the green sign to turn left. Once you go by the gate and by the entrance shack, take an immediate right and you will see the trail entrance, sign, and bridge with a small parking area right after the chain link fence.
