This run boasts beautiful views of Thomas Point, the Bay Bridge, and the city skyline. The Bay Ridge Loop run is a 5.2 mile loop on all roads. To begin, park at Penninsula Park on Bay Ridge Road about a 3/4 mile south of the entrance to Quiet Waters Park.
1.Heading south on Bay Ridge Road. Just beyond the park on Bay Ridge Road is a bike lane.
2. Almost a mile down Bay Ridge Road at the entrance to the Bay Ridge Community turn right on Herndon Avenue.
3. Go to the end of the Herndon and turn left onto Bay Drive. Follow Bay Drive all the way around.
4. Bay Drive becomes River Drive at the big left curve in the road. Continue here down near water level to Sands Avenue and turn left. On the far side you'll see the Bay Bridge and the Naval Academy.
5. Turn left again on East Lake Drive from Sands Avenue. (Note that there are convenient signs pointing the way out of the neighborhood to Annapolis. Just follow those.)
6. Follow East Lake Drive to Farragut Road and turn right. Farragut Road becomes Bay Ridge Road and returns to your starting point.
