Join us for the 7th Annual Bay Area Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Frank Ogawa Plaza in Oakland. The Walk for Hope combines both a family-oriented 5K Walk/5K Timed Run to raise critical funds and awareness to support breast cancer research, treatment and educational programs at City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute. With more than 200,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in women each year, breast cancer has become the second leading cause of death among women. The 5k Walk/Run begins promptly at 9:00 am, with registration opening at 7:00am. You can pre-register online now at www.walk4hope.org or phone our office at 1-800-732-7140 to have a registration brochure mailed to you. Post-Walk activities include a free festival with a survivor pavilion, sponsor booth giveaways, food and a concert by an artist to be determined sponsored by Clear Channel.
