The Aspen Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation presents their annual Aspen Race for the Cure, part of the largest 5K race event in America. Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate in this breathtaking event that wanders through the victorian West End of Aspen and along the Roaring Fork River, all on paved path, all at an altitude of almost 8,000 feet.
The 2006 Aspen Race for the Cure begins at Aspen's Rio Grande Park, located one block north of Aspen Mountain at Mill Street.
