The 7th Annual Run For Kathy is in memory of Kathryn Popp Long. The event celebrates Kathy's lifelong commitment to a healthy lifestyle while raising much-needed funds for cancer research. Runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers from all over the Baltimore-Washington DC metro area have helped to make this event a success each year.

The event features a certified 5k race, as well as a 1-mile walk and Kids Run. All proceeds for the Run For Kathy benefit the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD.

Over the years we have received many emotional and inspiring letters and emails from participants who have lost loved ones to cancer, reminding us of the real purpose of this event. The Run For Kathy is not only dedicated to the memory of Kathryn Popp Long, but is also dedicated to everyone affected by this terrible disease.
