The 6th annual 4th of July Liberty Run proceeds benefit the ACLU Foundation of Colorado.
This race begins on the southeast corner of Washington Park. It loops around the lake once, then around the whole of the park once to finish at four miles. Decorated with balloons and streamers throughout, the race is run entirely on asphalt path around the park with the trees and lake providing some nice scenery. There is also a 1K Walk.
Regardless of distance or speed, all footsteps lead to the Festival of Rights, where you'll find great post-race activities including a live band, awards ceremony for top finishers and pledge raisers, as well as great food, kids' games and family activities. Celebrate our nation's independence this Fourth of July at Washington Park, Denver. Park at South High School (Louisiana Ave. and Gilpin St.). Registration and the Start Line are near the southeast corner of the park.
